Yura Yunita - Topic

Indonesian Musician Yura Yunita is the stage name of singer/songwriter Yura Yunita Rachman. Born in Bandung, taught herself to play piano, she listened to various kind of musics such as jazz, blues, funk, groove, and RnB. She began writing songs at age 15, and by 2013, in need of a creative outlet while attending communication school, performed for the first time on TV. Yura released her debut album “YURA” in 2014 which listed at number six on Rolling Stone Indonesia’s Best Album of 2014 . The album with such smash hits as “Balada Sirkus”, “Cinta dan Rahasia” and “Berawal Dari Tatap” approved national success and Yura increased her visibility through touring, a guest spot on various music festivals and appearances on national tv shows.

Later she achieved 2 Years in a row winner at Anugerah Musik Indonesia, in 2017 as the Best Pop Female Singer and Best Pop Songwriter, and in 2018 with the category Best Female Solo Singer. In Globe Asia 2019, Yura Yunita is on of the highly acclaimed Indonesia’s 99 Most Inspiring Women Issue 12 edition.

In 2018, Yura released "Merakit" album that has so far reached more than 20 million streams on various digital music platforms. This year, Yura released "Merakit Deluxe Album" with additional songs, “Get Along With You” and new version of “Cinta dan Rahasia, where the previous version has reached 93 million views on Youtube.
