Our focus is on educating communities—especially those in the inner cities—about the ancestral roots, cultural heritage, and historical presence of Indigenous peoples across America. For generations, many families have carried oral histories describing their origins here in the Americas, stories often passed down quietly due to the pressures and threats faced during times of conflict and forced assimilation. These accounts speak to identities that were obscured through reclassification, removal policies, and the narratives taught in public education systems. Our work aims to correct historical misunderstandings, uplift suppressed family histories, and bring clarity to the ways many Indigenous people were re‑labeled over time as "Negro- Colored-Mulatto-Black.” These reclassifications contributed to the loss of recognized tribal identity for many communities.

We honor the belief held by many families that their ancestors were Indigenous to the Americas and not migrants from elsewhere.
