Deven's Dad

This channel is dedicated to Deven's soccer career. From when he was 5 till recent. I endeavor to upload as much as I can in every upcoming season.

Deven started playing rugby for the under 7 school team when he was 5 years old in Grade R. This was mainly because we are huge rugby supporters in the household, and his big brother, Lyle was playing for the school's under 10 side at the time. Deven was good at it and he enjoyed it very much, even though he was the smallest and youngest in the squad.

Later that year, we were invited to a kids' party at an indoor soccer venue, and that's when I saw for the first time that Deven actually has "something". I didn't know what, but I liked what I saw. I immediately started looking for a club or private coaching, since the school did not offer soccer as an activity. We did a few sessions with a friend who coached kids, about an hour's drive every Saturday morning, then we found his current club, Northpine AFC.
